Michael Rodriguez is a musician, designer and artist with an interest in animation. Focusing on storytelling and Illustration, he has spent the last several years cultivating his portfolio, engaging in the artist alleys at various conventions, and learning the craft of storyboarding to take with him into the animation industry.
During his time at ASU, Michael directed a short animation leading a small team of fellow animation students about a DND Party’s first success (and Failure) as well as several other short animatics based around original ideas and songs. Eager to learn as much as he can about the industry he has dived head first into additional classes and talks taught by industry professionals such as Leslie Park and Sergio Paez.
Michael graduated Arizona State University in the pandemic class of Winter 2020 with BS focusing in Animation and Graphic Design
Michael uses the a Wacom Cintiq 27QHD along with the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite. Toon Boom’s Storyboard Pro and Clip Studio Paint.
For Traditional work, He primarily uses Copic and Micron Fine-Liners and Copic Alcohol Markers on bristol
